Alex Adamopoulos, Chief Executive Officer

Alex is a hands-on sourcing and delivery executive with more than 20 years of experience in global services organizations. He has extensive international experience with a deep understanding of culture, work, and life ethics especially as it relates to establishing alignment and crossing cultural barriers. Over the years, Alex has brought know-how and practical business experience to companies who want to build-out their unified sourcing models. With a focus on performance measurement, business value, and bottom-line profitability, Alex has successfully applied working models and best practices to accelerate the solutions and strategies of companies to drive results.

Philip Black, Chief Operating Officer

Phil brings his knowledge and experience of software delivery, quality, and global sourcing to provide increased agility to multi-national companies with complex IT problems. Prior to emergn, Phil was the COO of Exoftware, an agile enablement organization, focused on helping organizations improve their overall operations through agile.  Prior to joining Exoftware, Phil was the IT Director responsible for managing BT's Global Network Systems, where he successfully applied agile techniques to software development.

Amy Welsh, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer

Amy Welsh has over 20 years of experience leading and building high performance sales and marketing organizations for technology-based companies in both the US and International markets. Her hands-on management style and talent for forging strategic relationships spans across global organizations to channel partners and early stage companies. Throughout her career she has helped businesses innovate and deliver value, resulting in a distinguished track record for translating technology-based solutions into rapid revenue growth. She has held executive-level management positions in sales and marketing for Nestor, GROUP Software and Brainstorm Technologies, as well as leadership roles with industry giants such as EMC, CA and Harvard Business Publishing.

Brian Hanly, Executive Vice President EMEA

Brian is the former CEO and founder of Exoftware, an agile enablement organization. Brian’s primary responsibility is the direction, management, and growth of emergn’s EMEA practice. Brian brings his extensive business experience to client companies such as BT, Standard Life, and HBOS, working with them on the “business of agile.”  Having attained a leadership position in this area, Brian is one of emergn’s key speakers on agile topics such as using agile for building profit and the business of agile.

Barry Fitzpatrick, Chief Financial Officer

Barry Fitzpatrick is emergn’s Chief Financial Officer. He previously served as CFO at Exoftware, an agile enablement organization, and as an executive with Neylon and Co., advising clients in the early stages of company formations and development. Through his deep knowledge of the consulting and professional services industry, Barry brings rigor to the areas of strategic development, cost management, and business process for both industry and private practice.

Raffaele Iodice, Executive Vice President, Client Services

Raffaele brings a proven track record spanning over twenty years of results-oriented multifaceted IT experience with global services organizations. His broad range of experience in managing complex end-to end, offshore-onshore outsourcing programs and projects has established Raffaele as a leader in attaining operational and process excellence. His charter with emergn involves optimization and continuous improvement of emergn’s best practices and process.

Portia Tung, Chief Strategy Officer

Portia channels her creativity into shaping emergn's corporate strategy in terms of product and services innovation, business development and marketing success. She specializes in agile enablement and organizational change, with a proven track record as a highly effective consultant-coach. Portia is a popular international speaker at agile conferences, delivering presentations and facilitating interactive sessions in both English and French. She is also well-known in the agile community for her active contribution to a number of learning games under the Creative Commons License.

John Vanderpool, Senior Vice President Operations

John’s cross-functional role focuses on operational excellence within emergn by leveraging new business process designs and advanced technology to achieve efficiency while improving client experiences. John has served as a professional in software sales and operations for more than a decade. His experience includes work with leading global services and outsourcing organizations, as well as with cutting edge software companies including Exigen Services, netNumina (Keane), and SupplyScape.
