In a recent McKinsey Insight on data culture, the point was well made that when it comes to data as a driver for culture and decision making, “you can’t import data culture and you can’t impose it”.

When organizations talk about transforming the way they work, they are largely discussing how to make better informed decisions, and those decisions are influenced by the data their organization produces.

The wave of technology that is shaping analytics isn’t an exercise in being cool or more savvy than your competitor; it is about knowing what the next best, most valuable decision needs to be to go farther.

Getting around the data as a leadership team to leverage the value of what you have access to will go much further than mere opinions on what to do next.
