Vice President, Business Development
EMEA, Europe (London, United Kingdom)
Job description
The role of Vice President, Business Development is new to Emergn and represents both our need and interest to introduce a more deliberate approach in how we acquire new clients. This role will sit at the heart of our business development efforts and is intended to be led by an individual that brings years of proven success in not only growing sales for a services led organization but also in relationship management, a principle that is foundational for how we operate as a company.
The Vice President, Business Development will help Emergn balance an aggressive effort to acquire new clients with the exceptional delivery and service we seek to provide. As a global services company, one of our unique differentiators in the market is a focus on growing quality accounts vs. quantity of accounts. We desire to continue to grow top line revenue and maintain an above average net margin but we also desire to do this in the context of working with clients that view us as partners and a critical part of their success. To do this right, the Vice President, Business Development will leverage his or her network of current and past relationships where integrity, trust and mutual success have been realized.
The Vice President, Business Development will have an established network of past clients, partners and colleagues that can be immediately leveraged to explore new opportunities. Our objective for 2012 is to identify a core set of potential new clients and to begin those working relationships. The track record of Emergn will allow the Vice President, Business Development to present potential clients with credible case studies, references and examples of work that will help communicate the value of the services Emergn provides.
The best candidate for this role will have been involved in selling professional services and/or management consulting to large, enterprise companies. Our client’s needs range from desiring to introduce a new approach, i.e. Agile to trying to solve large, complex systemic issues. Therefore the ability to articulate and communicate in a consultative way that is simple and effective will be important. The candidate will have trusted relationships where the business development is more than just the next sale, it is also an advisory type approach where Emergn is viewed as the organization that will solve the problem in the best way for that client.
Please note that ability to travel is a necessity.

- Exceptional relationship manager with attention to quality and detail
