guardianLess than two weeks after it went live, the CloudStore has secured its first user. The first body to make a purchase was the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), which purchased training services for a number of staff.

Under the Future Coastguard programme, the MCA is creating a nationally networked system of coastguard coordination centres. The programme’s board, about 12 people, will be given agile awareness and practitioner training bought through the CloudStore as part of its delivery planning.

According to James Findlay, director of the Future Coastguard programme, using the CloudStore was “very easy”. The agency bought services from Emergn – a supplier it hadn’t worked with before using the CloudStore.
