How much time do you spend on developing the dynamics of your team and people around you?
Recently I was working with a company who didn’t really have any legitimate teams. Everyone was working independently of each other. Work was being pushed into these groups and managers were choosing who was going to receive each task. The result was poor quality, fragmented solutions, low enthusiasm, and lack of productivity.
A lot of work and time goes into developing products and software, writing requirements, creating designs, forecasting budgets and all things required to get new ideas shipped. But do we spend enough of our time focused on managing the sensitivities between people, helping resolve conflicts, and developing the right chemistry in our teams?
This week spend time identifying ways to improve the dynamics in your own team. Also consider the dynamic between your team and one other group that you often interact with.
