Don’t create more work

The success of any program of work depends on many things that require working together in such a way that the outcomes are positive. One of the largest factors in getting things right (success) is the attention we give to the details.

While we all might agree that attention to detail is really important in any endeavor, it’s what happens when we don’t pay enough close attention to details; we create more work for others. You’ve heard the phrase ‘you need to carry your weight’ – something meant to tell us that the person it applies to pays attention to details and is thorough in their work thus likely minimizing the need to create more work for others.

Inspiring change has as much to do with pulling our weight as it does with pursuing a vision.

Do our work efforts help bring others along in the process or create more work for them?
