We care for and invest in people

We act with integrity

Our actions are in the best interests of Emergn, our people, and our customers. We ask questions to understand what the best answers are.

We focus on the new

We don’t admire problems; we make the effort to move past them and go forward. We see the value of building new opportunities and welcoming change.

We take initiative

We are proactive communicators because we know how important it is to share information and insights.

We support remote working

We provide you with the tools, processes, and networks to work from anywhere when you’re not together with the team in one of our global offices.

We know how to have fun!

We laugh. We build relationships. We play. We have open conversations. Finding a good work-life balance is key to our success.

The Emergn Way

We know from experience that organizations can be hard places for the people who inhabit them. We want a more promising future for ourselves and others. Which is why we work hard to make our workplace somewhere that presents possibilities that couldn’t exist before.

The Emergn Way is our way of making those possibilities possible, bringing to life our values in how we act every day.

We care for and invest in people

People don’t care how much you know unless they know how much you care.

People do their best work when they are respected, encouraged, supported, and trusted. Building an organization that others describe as “great” or “world class” starts with an investment mindset about people and their wellbeing. That’s why this is our first principle.

We are deliberate about delighting our customers

Our standard is to be known as the best at what we do.

There are no random acts of kindness… or work. To be kind, effective at work, and helpful to customers requires deliberate action. We are deeply interested in our customers and we demonstrate this by understanding and anticipating their needs and going the extra mile.

We bring new perspectives to get better results

We believe in a discovery mindset and challenging the status quo – doing it better is our focus.

We are students of industry because we know the value of applying knowledge to deliver exceptional outcomes. We are curious because we understand the opportunities created when we make the effort to see what others may not see.

At Emergn, we improve the way people and companies work. Forever. That includes how we work inside Emergn. Diversity and equality are core to who we are – from building teams with a broad range of backgrounds, skills, and views, to developing leaders and talent.

What is the Emergn culture like?

We’re constantly looking to learn, discover and improve. We have an open mind and an adventurous spirit that allows us to look at and interrogate things from multiple angles, without bias or judgement. We’re looking to have our beliefs challenged. It’s how we evolve and how we help others evolve.

You can find more about the principles and behaviors which shape our culture by reading The Emergn Way. It’s designed to help us bring our values to life in a practical and pragmatic way. What is VFQ?

Value, Flow, Quality (VFQ) is Emergn’s approach to work-based education. It allows people to learn and adopt new, modern ways of working to deliver products, services, or ideas to market.

VFQ focuses on outcomes rather than the rollout of any one specific methodology. It’s founded on the principle that lasting change requires transformative learning so people can acquire the best skills that apply to their work. You can learn more about VFQ by visiting our Learning Skills & Capability offering.

You can also hear from our CEO, Alex Adamopoulos, on how VFQ was created, how it became the heart of Emergn and how it has changed the career path of our people by reading our Careers blog.

What training can I expect after joining Emergn?

Each new hire goes through the VFQ Foundations course during the first two weeks to ensure they understand our core principles and practices. As soon as it’s completed, you’ll be encouraged to study our VFQ Agile Practitioner Pathway and VFQ Product Management Pathway courses. All VFQ content and pathways are available for free to our people to support their continued learning.

As well as access to VFQ you’ll be offered a range of personalized learning activities, including internally and externally provided courses and access to professional conferences.
