Emergn Partners with University of Arkansas on Product Management Training Course

Online course grounded in practical applications of emerging product management strategies runs from Feb. 18 to Apr. 22

BENTONVILLE, Ark. & LONDON  – January 28, 2021Emergn, a leading global professional services firm helping transform the way people and companies work and deliver solutions to their customers, today announced the company has partnered with the University of Arkansas (U of A) to provide a product management training course designed to help product managers and product owners with any level of experience acquire the skills needed to define, develop and launch products, services and features that fully satisfy the needs of their customers.

Understanding the latest thinking in product management via textbooks doesn’t cut it when it comes to navigating the complexity of transforming an idea into a value proposition and product that users love. Emergn designed this course to help participants apply what they learn outside of the classroom so they can bring a structured approach to managing products within their organizations and become more involved in product strategy and leading Agile teams. Participants will learn from real-life examples the most effective strategies for building better relationships with their stakeholders—from bosses and teams to the all-important customer.

The practical, facilitator-led online course includes techniques and tools from modern schools of management, including Design Thinking, Lean and Agile, and aligns them with the outcomes of Value, Flow, Quality® (VFQ), Emergn’s own action-learning education program focused on outcomes. VFQ is used by hundreds of organizations globally, including Fortune 500, FTSE 100 and Global 2000 companies.

The virtual (live-online) course, offered through the U of A Global Campus, is split across eight one-hour work-based classes, two dedicated one-on-one sessions with Emergn product management experts and two to three hours per week of practical application and additional study—allowing participants to learn anytime, anywhere. Participants will receive access to the Emergn online education platform for one year and a physical copy of Emergn’s VFQ product management book.

“Everyone involved in product management is after the same thing—creating a highly successful product,” said Alex Adamopoulos, Emergn CEO. “At Emergn, our primary focus is helping people improve the way they work so they can craft, design and build great solutions customers love. Partnering with the University of Arkansas on this course allows us to support more people who want to learn and adopt new ways of working to deliver value and products customers love.”

U.S. News & World Report ranks the University of Arkansas, which provides an internationally competitive education for undergraduate and graduate students in more than 200 academic programs, among its top American public research universities.

This partnership with the University of Arkansas is just one way Emergn has engaged with the Arkansas business community. In addition to placing its first U.S. office in Bentonville, Emergn is a co-founding member of the Northwest Arkansas Product Management Guild. The Guild’s mission is to lead the product management profession in developing and promoting vendor-neutral product management approaches, industry best practices, body of knowledge expertise and educational services.
