World Product Day 2022
Introduction
Jason Nash
VP of Consulting Services
At Emergn, we’ve helped some of the world’s most respected businesses develop their most promising ideas into valuable digital products and customer experiences, faster. We’re celebrating World Product Day this year with our new Vice President of Consulting Services, Jason Nash. Jason has spent more than 30 years in both the consulting and the technology industry and here are some pieces of advice he wished someone had told him when he first started out in product:
- Backlogs are not just for product management.
- Focus on outcomes not outputs; it’s easy to just build features.
- Time spent on discovery trumps time on delivery.
- The best product mangers know about “20% time” or “customer Friday”, and how to use it to build great products. Because when you know your customers, you don’t need to spend time and money building personas.
