How to change the world

Recently, I was put into a tricky situation with a colleague, choosing to do some work for them, against my better judgement, and I ended up getting taken advantage of.  As difficult as it was, it was a huge wake up call for me.

I realized I was floating in and out of my days, feeling busy, overwhelmed, and exhausted, and I honestly could not tell you where all that time was going in certain instances. I was doing what I had to do, but I wasn’t setting goals and honoring them the way I needed to be. I wasn’t valuing myself, my work, and the role I am in the way I needed to be. That tricky situation was the straw that broke the camel’s back, so to speak.

Through this, I was able to take the necessary actions to clarify my vision, dreams, and goals, and be the best version of myself, both in the business world and professionally. In making adjustments, even the smallest of adjustments, I can see dramatic results in my life that are spilling into the lives of others. That is a huge reward. Through this, I realized that I cannot change the world until I change my world.

Remember that changing the world happens one day at a time, one small action at a time.
